The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Cemetery Lane near Cleveland Road:

Tiffany Miler, 15, Burns, was eastbound on Cemetery Lane near Cleveland Road in a 1991 Buick passenger car at 4 p.m. Oct. 17. She was driving at a high speed, lost control, went into a south ditch, and rolled, struck a tree, and rolled again, the vehicle landing on its top. Vehicle caught fire, and Miler and her two passengers were trapped in the Buick. Buick registered to Regina Miler, Burns. Passengers were Andrew Eubanks and Bobby Crane, both of Burns. Miler and Eubanks were taken by Life Team to St. Francis, Wichita. Crane was taken by Peabody Ambulance to Susan B. Allen, El Dorado.

Hit and Run:

Linda P. Heath, 226 Grandview, Florence, reported an unknown vehicle hit her 2005 Chrysler CRU at an unknown location. It was reported at 11 a.m. Oct. 24.

U.S. 77 at us 56:

Cody D. Puckett, 26, Cove, Ore., was northbound on U.S. 77 in a 2008 Jeep Wrangler at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 24, when Bryce G. Morris, 17, 111 N. Lincoln, Marion, failed to stop at the stop sign in a 1997 Chrysler passenger car and hit the Jeep on the passenger side. Jason Rogers was a passenger in the Chrysler. No other information on him was given on the sheriff’s report.

Damages were estimated at more than $1,000 and no injuries were reported.

Indigo Road near 100th Road:

Louis J. Thurston, 51, 212 S. Lincoln Street, Hillsboro, was northbound on Indigo Road in a 2007 Ford Edge at 9:09 p.m. Oct. 26, when a deer ran from a west ditch and was struck. Lori M. Thurston, 50, same address as driver, was a passenger in the Ford.

Damages were estimated at more than $1,000 and no injuries were reported.

Goldenrod near 190th Road:

Robert S. Ayers, 35, 210 Willow Glen, Hillsboro was northbound on Goldenrod near 190th in a 2006 Honda Accord at 4 a.m. Oct. 28, when two to three coyotes ran from the ditch, he swerved to avoid them and went into the west ditch, striking a culvert and ditch embankment.

Damages were estimated at more than $1,000 and no injuries were reported.

Kanza Road near 220th Road:

Therese C. Carver, 26, 112 N. Madison Street, Hillsboro was northbound on Kanza Road near 220th Road in a 2002 Kia Rio at 7:05 p.m. Oct. 30, when a deer ran from an east ditch and was struck. Jack B. Davis, 27, same address as driver, Bradley M. Alexander, 4, 3265 Quail Creek, Tampa, and Ryan P. James, 1, Salina, were passengers in the vehicle.

Damages were estimated at more than $1,000 and no injuries were reported.

U.S. 77 at 310th Road:

Scott E. Sump, 53, Green, Kansas, was northbound on U.S. 77 at 310th Road in a 2005 Honda passenger car at 8:35 p.m. Oct. 30, when a deer ran from a west ditch and was stuck. Pam J. Sump, same address as driver, was a passenger in the Honda.

Damages were estimated at more than $1,000 and no injuries were reported.

U.S. 56 near Goldenrod Road:

Michael B. Martin, 48, 401 S. Coble Street, Marion, was westbound on U.S. 56 near Goldenrod Road in a 1998 Ford Explorer at 4:30 a.m. Oct. 31, when a deer came from a south ditch and was struck.

Damages were estimated at more than $1,000 and no injuries were reported.

250th Road near Falcon Road:

Jose F. Garcia, 23, Herington, was westbound on 250th Road near Falcon Road in a 1995 Geo Metro at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 31, when he lost control, went into a south ditch and rolled one time. Garcia was taken by Hillsboro Ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital.
