318 Elm St., Marion

Virginia C. Bowers, 85, 1501 Lawrence St., Apt. 4F, was backing from a drive at 318 Elm St., Marion, in a 2007 Ford passenger car at 11:05 a.m. Sept. 28, when she struck a 2002 Ford Taurus, registered to Ruth Reed, 318 Elm St., Marion, that was legally parked. Shirley Moore, no age or address listed on report, was a passenger in the Ford.

700 block of South Coble Street, Marion

A 2003 Ford pickup, driven by Patricia S. Kline, 36, 705 S. Coble St., Marion, accelerated out of control at 12:23 p.m. Oct. 13, and struck a tree. The tree belonged to Bettie Thompson, 702 S. Coble St., Marion.

226 N. Coble St., Marion

A legally parked 2010 Dodge van was sideswiped while parked at 226 N. Coble St., Marion, at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 20. Rita C. Kraus, 87, 419 Coble St., Marion, was northbound on Coble Street in a 1996 Buick passenger car when the accident occurred.

600 block of 90th Road

Lois A. Voth, 60, Newton, was eastbound in the 600 block of 90th Road in a 2007 Chevrolet Impala at 8:15 p.m. Oct. 21, when a deer ran into the side of the vehicle.

K-150 near Yarrow Road

A deer was struck and killed by a 2003 Buick passenger car, driven by Mary Hoover, 56, Lyons, when it was standing in a westbound lane on K-150 near Yarrow Road at 9:20 p.m. Oct. 23. Abigail B. Hoover, 15, of the same address as the driver, was a passenger.

290th Road near Mustang

A 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Michael Eugene Mader, 27, 204 S. Date St., Hillsboro, struck and killed a deer on 290th Road near Mustang at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 24. Erin Michele Mader, 27, of the same address as the driver, was a passenger.

K-15 near 110th Road

Elaine M. Jones, 57, 620 E. Marion St., Goessel, was southbound on K-15 near 110th Road in a 2000 Toyota Camry at 5:40 a.m. Oct. 26, when a deer came from a ditch; the driver tried to avoid the deer and went into a ditch, coming to rest facing north.

90th Road near Diamond

The driver of a 1986 Toyota Camry was transported by Hillsboro ambulance to Newton Medical Center with possible injuries following a one-car accident at 7:50 a.m. Oct. 26. Jessica Maleuh Harvey, 16, Walton, was westbound on 90th Road near Diamond when she lost control of the vehicle on gravel, entered a south ditch, and hit an embankment. The vehicle flipped, landing on the passenger’s side. The vehicle was registered to Mickey Harvey, of the same address as the driver.

U.S. 56 near milemarker 327

A deer caused damage to two vehicles at 7:10 a.m. Oct. 30 on U.S. 56 near milemarker 327. Jose Antonio Lopez, 49, Junction City, was northbound in a 2008 Toyota passenger car when a deer entered the road from an east ditch. The vehicle struck the deer, launching the animal into the path of a 1999 Chrysler passenger car, driven by Andria Harper Wasik, 29, Bulverde, Texas, southbound on the highway. Wasik was transported to Herington Municipal Hospital.

100 block of East Main Street, Marion

Macy Dawn Hess, 18, 608 S. Lincoln St., Marion, was driving a 2006 Pontiac passenger car in the 100 block of East Main Street, Marion, at 3:40 p.m. Oct. 28, when she didn’t see that someone was making a turn ahead of her, causing her strike a 2001 Ford pickup, driven by David Alan Helmer, 16, 330 S. First St., Marion. Sindi Jo Paul, 16, 210 Miller St., Marion, was a passenger in the pickup.
