Milepost 302.5 U.S. 56 near Sunrise Road, Marion
Angela Kim Miller, 22, McPherson, was driving a 2007 Pontiac passenger vehicle west on U.S. 56 at 5:45 p.m. Dec. 23, when she came upon a 2003 Hyundai passenger vehicle, driven by Shawna Demaric Conrad, 33, Olathe, that was stopped on a bridge with its emergency flashers on. Miller attempted to slow her vehicle down and slid on the ice, hitting a guardrail on the bridge, and then slid into the parked vehicle. Passengers in Conrad’s vehicle where Ryan Conrad, 32, and Alexas, 9, Alyssa, 4, and Allison, 7 months.
Milepost 133 K-15 near 210th Road
Andrew Nicholas Casey, 31, Abilene, was traveling north on K-15 in a 2004 Ford truck at 5:55 p.m. Dec. 23, when he lost control of the vehicle on ice and entered into a west ditch, rolling the truck on to its top.
Milepost 299 U.S. 56 near Old Mill Road
Casey Mark Lindenberger, 27, Inman, was westbound on U.S. 56 at 5:55 p.m. Dec. 23, when he lost control of his 2005 Chevrolet truck on an ice-covered bridge, striking the guardrail.
Milepost 289 U.S. 56 near Eagle Road
Erik David Frank, 30, 311 S. Washington St. Apt. 2, Hillsboro, was driving a 1999 Ford Ranger east on U.S. 56 at 6 p.m. Dec. 23, when he came upon a slick spot on the road and lost control of the vehicle, causing the truck to enter in to a south ditch and roll on to its top.

Daniel Wayne Winsky, 33, Waverly, was driving a 2007 Kenworth truck, registered to Brown Truck Leasing Corp. of Des Moines, Iowa, at 11:42 a.m. Dec. 28, when he failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled out in front of a 2006 Ford Focus driven by Jenesa Elise Klose, 21, 1938 Falcon Road, Hillsboro, causing the car to strike the side of the truck. Klose was transported by Hillsboro ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital with injuries.
U.S. 56 near Cedar Street, Marion
Thomas G. Ash, 57, 1950 Wagon Wheel Road, Marion, was driving east on U.S. 56 in a 2001 Ford Escape at 11:20 p.m. Jan. 2, when a deer came out of a north ditch and was struck by the vehicle.
