U.S. 56 near Remington Road

A deer was struck by a 2010 Ford Fusion, driven by Ernest E. Weins, 86, 1 Park Avenue, Apt. 257, Hillsboro, at 6 p.m. Jan. 28 on U.S. 56 near Remington Road. Esther Weins, no age listed on report, of the same address as the driver, was a passenger.

U.S. 50 near Union Road

Brandon Howard Simmons, 22, Wichita, reportedly fell asleep while driving his 2008 Hyundai passenger car at 7:50 p.m. Jan. 29 on U.S. 50 near Union Road. The vehicle entered a north ditch and went into a creek.

1200 block of Nighthawk Road near 120th

An ice-covered road was to blame for a 2000 Ford Explorer going into a west ditch at 8:20 a.m. Jan. 31, in the 1200 block of Nighthawk Road near 120th. The vehicle was driven by Matthew Christopher Sampson, 24, 309 N. Elm St., Peabody.

K-15 near 150th Road

Clair J. Millard III, 43, Carlton, was southbound on K-15 near 150th Road at 10:09 a.m. Jan. 30 in a 2006 Chrysler passenger vehicle, when a deer entered the road and was struck. Jamie J. Millard, 39, of the same address as the driver, was a passenger.

U.S. 77 near 110th Road

A deer was struck and killed after jumping into the path of a 2009 Toyota passenger car, driven by Brenda Lee Dawson, 43, 607 S. Roosevelt St., Marion, at 5:55 a.m. Jan. 31 on U.S. 77 near 110th Road.

Sunflower Road near 90th

Stephen R. Bowersox, 65, Derby, lost control of his 1999 GMC Jimmy at 2:10 p.m. Jan. 31 on Sunflower Road near 90th because of ice on the road. The vehicle entered an east ditch, went through a fence, and came to rest in a field.
