The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Nighthawk Road near 80th

Timothy M. Rowold, 46, of Garden Plaine, was traveling north on Nighthawk Road near 80th in a 2007 Toyota Prius at 7:45 a.m. Feb. 4, when he lost control of the vehicle because of snow on the road. The vehicle went into a west ditch and rolled on its top.

U.S. 56 at milemarker 292

Wesley D. McGruire, 41, of Sioux Falls, S.D., was westbound on U.S. 56 at milemarker 292 in a 1995 International truck at 1:55 p.m. Feb. 4, when his truck failed to stop, hitting the rear of a 2007 Kentworth truck driven by Martin L. Robinson, 45, of Ottawa, who was waiting to make a left turn. Robert McGuire of Herington was the owner of the International. No injuries were reported.

U.S. 56 at milemarker 292

A second accident occurred when Jody L. May, 50, of 106 N. Washington St., Hillsboro, was driving east on U.S. 56 at milemarker 292 in a 1996 Ford Thunderbird at 1:55 p.m. Feb. 4, and the vehicle struck debris on the road from the previous accident.

Remington Road near 180th

Christian S. Peterson, 26, of 319 N. Ash St., Hillsboro, was driving south on Remington Road in a 2006 Dodge at 11:45 a.m. Feb. 5, when a passenger in the vehicle saw an approaching eastbound train. Peterson applied the brakes but struck the rear steps of a front engine and the front steps of a second engine of the train. James Murray, 23, and Alex Altum, 2, of Kyle, Texas; and Aurora Salamone, 20, of 126 W. Third St., Tampa, were passengers in the Dodge. Passengers on the train were Kelly Curtis, 34, of Wichita, and Tim Pestinger, 54, of Salina.

Nighthawk Road near 100th

Heather Ann Brooks, 16, of 209 N. Olive St., Peabody, was driving south in the 1000 block of Nighthawk Road in a 2000 Ford F-15 pickup at 10:20 p.m. Feb. 7, when she lost control of the vehicle on the snow covered road. The truck went in a west ditch and rolled. Harold Brooks, of the same address as the driver, owned the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Sunflower Road near 120th

Richard E. Breckenridge, 24, of 519 S. Third St., Marion, was driving south on Sunflower Road in a 2002 Dodge pickup at 7:50 a.m. Feb. 8, when he lost control on the ice as he was passing another vehicle. The truck went in an east ditch, striking an embankment.

300 block of North Birch Street, Hillsboro

A 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix was struck Feb. 8 while parked in the 300 block of North Birch Street, Hillsboro. William A. Olson, of 315 N. Birch St., Hillsboro, reported the accident. There was more than $1,000 in damages.

200 block of West Third Street, Hillsboro

Harold D. Carter, 61, 906 E. D St., Apt. 2, Hillsboro, was backing his 2002 Ford Taurus in the 200 block of West Third Street, Hillsboro, at 7 p.m. Feb. 12, when the vehicle struck a 2006 Chevrolet Impala, owned by Todd L. Simmons, of 107 S. Lincoln St., Hillsboro, which was parked legally.
