The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

300 block of Main Street, Tampa

A 1989 Chevrolet pickup, driven by Kenneth James Patterson, 54, Herington, struck a 2009 Toyota passenger car, owned by Savanah B. Gaudin of Herington, at 1:35 p.m. April 15, that was legally parked.

No injuries were reported.

U.S. 56 near K-15

Mark Bradley Kukuk, 20, 1772 250th Road, Marion, was westbound on U.S. 56 near K-15 in a 2003 Mitsubishi passenger car at 8:35 p.m. April 17, when a coyote came from a south ditch and was struck.

The driver was not injured.

Diamond Road near 210th

Simpson Kurtz, 70, 557 280th Road, Durham, was northbound on Diamond Road, north of 210th in a 2008 Ford pickup at 8:30 p.m. April 21, when several deer entered the road. The driver slowed down to avoid the deer but struck one.

The driver was not injured.

290th and Kanza roads

A car that failed to stop at the intersection of 290th and Kanza roads caused a vehicle to lose control and go into a ditch. Rebeckah Elizabeth Davis, 26, 102 W. Fifth St., Tampa, was eastbound on 290th Road near Kanza in a 2004 Pontiac passenger car at 4 p.m. April 23, when she realized that another vehicle was not going to stop at the intersection. The driver stepped on the brakes to miss the other vehicle, sending her car into a ditch.

Davis had possible injuries and was transported to Hillsboro Community Hospital by Tampa EMS.

Nighthawk Road near 100th

A pheasant caused an accident when Matthew David Richmond, 25, Wichita, was northbound on Nighthawk Road near 100th in a 1999 Jeep Cherokee at 6:15 a.m. April 24, and the bird flew across the front of the vehicle, striking the windshield on the driver’s side. Megan Richmond, no age listed on the report, of the same address as the driver, was a passenger.

Matthew Richmond had possible injuries but was not transported to a hospital by emergency medical services personnel.

Marion and Prospect streets, Lehigh

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Marion and Prospect streets, Lehigh, at 5:45 p.m. April 24. Carol Wilkening, 64, 311 Prospect St., Lehigh, was northbound on Marion Street in a 2002 Buick passenger car when her vehicle was struck by a 1999 Dodge passenger car, driven by Darcy Unrau, 21, Manhattan. The drivers tried to avoid each other but the vehicles collided.

There were no injuries reported.

Sunrise Road near U.S. 56

Elizabeth Nicole Goentzel, 14, 2094 240th Road, Marion, was northbound on Sunrise Road near U.S. 56 in a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am at 5:35 p.m. April 26, when she lost control on loose gravel, causing the vehicle to slide. The vehicle entered an east ditch, striking a sign, and flipped. The vehicle was registered to Amy Goentzel, of the same address.

The driver was transported by Marion County EMS to St. Luke Hospital, Marion.

140th Road near Falcon

Sara Olivia Grout, 28, 1410 Eagle Road, Hillsboro, was injured when she lost control of the 2002 GMC Envoy she was driving on 140th Road near Falcon at 5:15 p.m. April 27, causing the vehicle to enter a south ditch, and roll 1½ times, coming to rest on the driver’s side.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and transported by Marion County EMS to Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

Indigo Road near 100th

A deer was struck on Indigo Road just north of 100th at 9:12 p.m. April 27 by a 2001 Chrysler Cruiser driven by Deryll D. Amstutz, 60, 737 140th Road, Hillsboro.

The driver was not injured.
