The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Nighthawk Road near 20th

Seth Richard Oller, 26, Newton, was driving north on Nighthawk at 7 a.m. April 17 in a 1999 GMC pickup, when the truck went into an east ditch then crossed the roadway into a west ditch before striking a concrete bridge and a sign. The truck then went back into the ditch, through a barbwire fence, and into a pasture. The vehicle then returned to the roadway and turned south on 20th Road where it went into an east ditch.

No injuries were reported.

1000 block of Indigo Road near 100th

Dennis C. Slates Jr., 46, Wichita, was driving a 1986 Jeep Cherokee north on Indigo Road at 9:30 p.m. April 30, when the vehicle crossed over the centerline and struck the driver’s side mirror of a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer, registered to Goldie F. Lagree of Newton, driven by Janae Michelle Woodfield, 21, Newton. Tamy Foudray, 41, Newton was a passenger in the Blazer.

No injuries were reported.

Indigo Road near 90th

Jonathan Vaughn Stepanek, 17, Newton, was driving a 2009 Toyota passenger car, registered to Keresa B. Stepanek of Newton, at 4:15 a.m. May 1, when he fell asleep, leaving the roadway, and driving on the left shoulder. Stepanek overcorrected, driving the car across the road and into a west ditch.

The driver was not injured.

360th Road near Vista

Richard Paul Ward, 31, Granby, Mo., was heading west on 360th Road at 1:30 p.m. May 1 in a 1994 Chevrolet passenger car, registered to Richard Gray of Granby, when Ward fell asleep, drove the car into a concrete bridge railing, and then into a stream.

The driver was not injured.

Milepost 302 on U.S. 56 near Cedar Street, Marion

Shawn P. Turner, 36, Overland Park, was driving a 2005 Chrysler passenger vehicle west on U.S. 56 at 1:35 p.m. May 1, when a deer ran into the passenger side of the vehicle. Passengers in the car were Stephanie, 32, Lucas, 6, Austin, 5, Ashley, 4, and Gabriella Turner, 3, of Overland Park.

No injuries were reported.

Falcon Road near 190th

Gerald L. Houser, 55, 690 E. 190th Road, Hillsboro, was riding a 1978 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on Falcon Road at 10 a.m. May 2, when the motorcycle went off the roadway and into a west ditch flipping end over end several times and the driver was thrown off.

The driver was taken by LifeTeam helicopter to Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

600 block of Western Heights Circle, Hillsboro

Two vehicles collided in a parking lot in the 600 block of Western Heights Circle, Hillsboro, at 3:45 p.m. May 4. Jessica D. Vannocker, 23, 115 S. Adams St., Hillsboro, was backing south from a parking stall in a 2006 Ford Mustang and saw a 1999 GMC Sierra pickup, driven by Ross D. Schroeder, 20, 737 150th Road, Hillsboro, backing north. Vannocker stopped but Schroeder continued to back, striking the right, rear bumper of the Mustang. The Mustang was registered to Alan M. Accardi of Manhattan and the pickup was registered to Bruce and Janette Schroeder of the same address as the driver. Asa Case, 3, of the same address as the driver of the Mustang, was a passenger in the car.

There were no injuries.

200 block of Will Road, Hillsboro

A 2004 Ford pickup, driven by Amanda K. Howe, 19, 400 S. Jefferson St., Hillsboro, was backing from a parking stall in the 200 block of Willow Road, Hillsboro, at 3:10 p.m. May 5, when the pickup struck a parked 2003 Ford passenger car, owned by Clarice Warkentin, 310 S. Date St., Hillsboro.

No injuries were reported.

Yarrow Road near 160th

Jerry O. Makovec, 71, 1870 Zebulon Road, Marion, was driving south on Yarrow Road at 8 p.m. May 5 in a 2006 Ford passenger car, when a deer came out of a west ditch and was struck. Faye A. Makovec, 72, of the same address as the driver, was a passenger.

No injuries were reported.

Milepost 313 on U.S. 56 near 280th Road

Edwin M. Wheeler Jr., 58, 304 Locust St., Marion, was driving on U.S. 56 in a 2001 Chevrolet pickup at 5:25 a.m. May 6, when a deer ran into the path of the truck and was struck.

The driver was not injured.

200 block of North Main Street, Hillsboro

Viktoria Ann Bichet, 19, 218 N. Ash St., Hillsboro, was backing from a parking stall in the 200 block of North Main Street, Hillsboro, in a 1994 Mazda pickup at 11:38 a.m. May 7, and struck a 2006 Toyota pickup, driven by Karen Kay Sklenar, 63, 1712 190th Road, Marion, who was northbound on Main Street. The Mazda was registered to Lana Kay Bichet of the same address as the driver. The Toyota was registered to Dean Lovgren of Morrowville.

There were no injuries.
