The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Alley between South Freeborn and Roosevelt streets, Marion

Brent N. Potocnik, 21, of 415 S. Ash St., Apt. 6, Hillsboro, was northbound in an alley between South Freeborn and South Roosevelt streets in a 2004 Ford Windstar van at 9:50 a.m. June 10, and struck a gas meter on private property. The vehicle was registered to Arlie Overton of 126 N. Roosevelt St., Marion.

Jefferson Street near Maple Avenue, Lost Springs:

A hit-and-run-accitdent occurred when an unknown vehicle was westbound on Maple Avenue, Lost Springs, turning north onto Jefferson Street, at 5 p.m. July 6, and slid into the opposite lane and into a parked 1997 Ford Ranger pickup owned by Steven D. Morton, 209 S. Jefferson St., Lost Springs. The unknown vehicle left the scene.

Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.

Indigo Road near 180th Road:

Joyce W. Ryder, 41, of 410 S. Main St., Hillsboro, was northbound on Indigo Road in a 2003 Chrysler passenger car at 3:15 p.m. July 9, when a deer came from an east ditch and was struck.

Damage was estimated at more than $1,000. Ryder was not injured.
