130th Road east of Indigo Road
Sharon Suderman, 60, 1035 130th Road, Hillsboro, struck Benjamin Loewen, 17, 1418 Limestone Road, Hillsboro, driving west on 130th Road at 8 a.m. March 1. Suderman reported that she reached down to pick something up when she swerved into the opposite lane. Loewen tried to avoid her but could not. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident. Suderman was driving her 2012 Chevrolet passenger car, and Loewen was driving his 2000 BMW passenger car.
U.S. 56 east of Alamo Road
Vida Mann, 46, 2656 Overland Road, Canton, struck a deer at 7:10 a.m. March 1 while driving east on U.S. 56. Mann was driving her 2006 Mercury sport utility vehicle.
Jade Road north of 180th Road
Naomi Walker, 17, 1743 Jade Road, Hillsboro, was driving north on Jade Road at 5:15 p.m. Feb. 26 when she lost control of the vehicle on the gravel road. The vehicle drove into a nearby ditch and rolled over. Walker was transported by Hillsboro ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital by 5:30. She was driving a 1999 Ford van registered to Elizabeth Walker, same address.
U.S. 77 south of 270th Road
Steven Mills, 60, 718 W. 12th Street, Newton, struck a deer at 5:15 a.m. Feb. 28 while driving north on U.S. 77. Mills was driving a 1998 single heavy truck registered to Pluswood District, 1214 Compalance Road, Newton.
K-15 south of 190th road
Laurie Voth, 31, 447 120th Road, Newton, struck a deer at 5:50 a.m. Feb. 24 while driving north on K-15. Voth was driving her 1997 Buick passenger car.
600 S. Memorial Park Circle, Hillsboro
Megan Schafer, 17, 609 Douglas St., Durham, struck a parked 2010 Toyota pickup truck at 7:50 p.m. Feb. 27. The truck was registered to Franklin Morey, 46, 1883 Falcon Road, Hillsboro. Schafer was driving her 2002 Ford passenger car.
F Street west of Main Street, Hillsboro
Mark Conner, 52, 314 N. Washington St., Hillsboro, struck Benita Holiday, 78, 3903 4th St., Brownwood, Texas, at 2:10 p.m. Feb. 27 when he backed out of a parking space in front of Hillsboro Community Hospital. Conner was driving his 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck. Holiday was driving her 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck.
