The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

U.S.-56 at Milemarker 283:

Holly A. Stenfors, 33, 407 Lombard, Lincolnville, was eastbound on U.S.-56 at milemarker 283 in a 2005 Toyota Corolla at 8 p.m. Oct. 26, when a deer ran from a south ditch and she could not avoid hitting it. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Larry Starkey reported the driver was not injured and more than $1,000 in damages.

D Street at Adams Street, Hillsboro:

Michael Phillips, 56, 314 S. Main, Hillsboro, was eastbound on D Street on a pedal cycle at 4:18 p.m. Oct. 28., when he struck the passenger side of a 1978 Pontiac passenger car driven by Thomas Aaron Jackson, Jr., 23, 400 S. Jefferson, Hillsboro, who was southbound on Adams Street. Hillsboro Assistant Police Chief Jessey Hiebert reported that Phillips was taken to Hillsboro Community Hospital by Hillsboro EMS.

Main Street, Hillsboro:

Leanne J. Penner, 49, 608 S. Ash, Hillsboro, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu when it hopped the curb on Main Street, Hillsboro at 6:28 p.m. Oct. 31, and struck a 1996 Oldsmobile passenger vehicle owned by Marvin Ensz, 309 Willow Rd, Hillsboro. A chain-reaction caused the Oldsmobile to strike a 1994 Honda passenger vehicle owned by Scott W. Bartel, 2147 K-15, Hillsboro, and then into a 1990 Oldsmobile passenger vehicle owned by Leon L. Koehn, 130 Blake Ave., Moundridge. Hillsboro Police Officer Steven Janzen reported no injuries.
