The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Main Street near Grand Street, Hillsboro:

An unknown vehicle struck a 1998 Toyota Camry owned by Nathan W. Hiebert, 110½ N. Main #1, Hillsboro, between 4 p.m. Nov. 14 and 5:30 p.m. Nov. 16, while it was parked on the west side of Main. Hillsboro Police Officer David Funk reported no injuries and less than $1,000 in damages.

Sunflower Road near 130th Road:

Thomas R. Eveland, 40, Wichita, was northbound on Sunflower Road near 130th Road in a 2007 Chevrolet pickup at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 10 when a deer came out of a west ditch and was struck. Mike Harvey, 52, Derby, was a passenger. Marion County Undersheriff Randall Brazil reported the passengers were not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

K-256 near Upland Road:

Kayla M. Williams, 16, 405 N. Locust, Marion, was eastbound on K-256 near Upland Road in a 2000 Pontiac Sunbird at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 10 when she lost control of the vehicle and went left of center, leaving the road and traveling over a ditch and culvert, and through a fence. Adam T. Maag, 17, 1768 Upland, Marion was a passenger. The vehicle was registered to Stan Williams, of the same address. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Duane McCarty reported the passengers were transported to St. Luke Hospital, Marion, with possible injuries.

U.S.-50 near milemarker 303:

John L. Carder, 64, Hesston, was eastbound on U.S.-50 near milemarker 303 in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala at 9 p.m. Nov. 10 when a deer came out of a north ditch and was struck. Sarajane Carder, 65, of the same address, was a passenger. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Matt Vogt reported the passengers were not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

U.S.-56 near Falcon Road:

Twyla Burke, 35, 150 Eastmoor Drive, Marion, was eastbound on U.S.-56 near Falcon Road in a 1993 Dodge passenger car at 8:09 p.m. Nov. 11 when a deer came out of a north ditch and was struck. Deputy Vogt reported the driver was not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

190th Road near K-256:

Mitchell A. Neuwirth, 20, 809 Weldon St, Marion, was eastbound on 190th Road near K-256 in a 1994 Chevrolet pickup at 11:18 p.m. Nov. 11 when he fell asleep at the wheel, entered a south ditch, and the vehicle over turned. Deputy Vogt reported the driver had possible injuries but was not transorted.

K-15 near 120th Road:

Keela D. Nickel, 32, 315 S. State, Goessel, was northbound on K-15 near 120th Road in a 2005 Chrysler Towncar at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13 when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Passengers in the vehicle were Justin Nickel, 3, and Alexandria Nickel, 6, of the same address. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Jim Philpott reported the passengers were not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

Indigo Road near 90th Road:

James Hiebert, 75, 960 160th, Hillsboro, was southbound on Indigo Road near 90th Road in a 2002 Ford passenger car at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 when a deer came out of an east ditch and was struck. Lillian Hiebert, 72, of the same address, and Terry Hiebert, 40, Durham, were passengers. Undersheriff Brazil reported the passengers were not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

U.S.-50 near milemarker 300:

Jon D. Daniels, 40, Wichita, was eastbound on U.S.-50 near milemarker 300 in a 2002 Toyota pickup at 7:55 p.m. Nov. 14 when a deer came out of a south ditch and was struck. Ben Daniels, 16, of the same address, was a passenger. Deputy Vogt reported the passengers were not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

190th Road near K-256:

Mark A. Collett, 56, 2863 K-150, Marion, was eastbound on 190th Road near K-256 in a 1997 Chevrolet passenger car at 8 p.m. Nov. 14 when a deer came out of a south ditch and was struck. J. Michelle Collett, 58, of the same address, was a passenger in the car. Undersheriff Brazil reported the passengers were not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

Indigo Road near 150th Road:

Lori A. Espada, 47, 306 S. Ash, Hillsboro, was southbound on Indigo Road near 150th Road in a 1999 Chevrolet van at 5:05 a.m. Nov. 16 when a deer came out of an east ditch and was struck. Kiara Espada, 14, of the same address, was a passenger in the van. Undersheriff Brazil reported the passengers were not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

U.S.-56 near Cedar Street, Marion:

Hoseah M. Kaminja, 46, Hutchinson, was westbound on U.S.-56 near Cedar Street, Marion, in a 2004 Honda passenger car at 7:11 p.m. Nov. 16 when a deer came out of a north ditch and was struck. Undersheriff Brazil reported the driver was not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

K-256 near U.S.-56:

Daniel A. Bryant, 28, 311 S. First, Marion, was northbound on K-256 near U.S.-56 in a 1996 Ford Taurus at 10:05 p.m. Nov. 16 when a black cow was standing in the roadway and was struck. The driver was taken by Marion EMS to St. Luke Hospital, Marion, with possible injuries reported Undersheriff Brazil.

230th near Sunflower Road:

Quinn B. Trapp, 46, 1609 Turkey Creek, Marion, was eastbound on 230th near Sunflower Road in a 1995 International bus at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 12 when a deer came out of a south ditch, hitting the bus doors. The bus was registered to USD 408, Marion. Passengers in the bus were Cara Martin, no age listed, 2294 220th, Marion, Taylor Harms, 14, Cade Harms, 10, Payton Harms, 8, all of 2528 250th, Lincolnville; Clinton Kroupa, 12, and Kayla Kroupa, 10, 2560 Ulysses, Lincolnville; Elizabeth Goentzel, 13, 2094 E. 240th, Marion; Dakota Gardner, 5, 2752 Robin Road, Marion; and Alli Boyd, 10 and Tori Boyd, 9, both of 1754 230th, Marion. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Travis Wilson reported the passengers were not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

Fifth Street near Lawrence, Durham:

Larry L. Bergman, 67, 626 340th, Tampa, was westbound on Fifth Street near Lawrence, Durham, in a 2004 Ford pickup at 4:35 p.m. Nov. 12 when he did not see a pedestrian crossing the road because the sun was in his eyes. The truck struck Christopher A. Will, 24, 1978 340th, Lost Springs. Christopher was taken by Tampa EMS to Hillsboro Community Medical Center with possible injuries. Jerry A. Rader, 59, 313 Lawrence, Durham, was a passenger in the vehicle.

Sunflower Road near 140th Road:

Martin Toland, 45, 1774 Upland, Marion was northbound on Sunflower Road near 140th Road in a 2005 Jeep Liberty at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 14 when a deer came out of a west ditch and was struck. Undersheriff Brazil reported the driver was not injured and more than $1,000 in damages.

U.S.-56/77 near 290th Road:

Jeffrey A. Miller, 51, Wamego, was northbound on U.S.-56/77 near 290th Road in a 2003 Ford pickup at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 when a deer came out of an east ditch and was struck. Undersheriff Brazil reported the driver was not injured and more than $1,000 in damages.
