U.S. 77 South of 300th Road

Panat Cherdchu, 27, Manhattan, drove off the road while southbound on U.S. 77 and into the west embankment at 12:10 p.m. Oct. 1. Cherdchu reported that he was trying to take off his jacket when the accident occurred. A passenger, Jeehyun Lee, 31, of Philadelphia, was transported by Marion ambulance to St. Luke Hospital by 1 p.m. Cherdchu was transported by Tampa Ambulance to St. Luke.

100 block of North State Street, Goessel

Karen Dalke, 44, 929 170th, Hillsboro, backed into Audrey Dudte, 38, Canton, 10:50 a.m. Oct. 5 in the 100 block of North State Street, Goessel. Dalke reported that she was performing maintenance duties on the vehicle, a 1979 Caterpillar owned by the City of Goessel. Joshua Dudte, 3, of the same address as Audrey Dudte, was a passenger in Dudte’s 2000 Pontiac. No injuries were reported.

U.S. 77 south of 180th Road

William Holland, 19, Herington, struck a deer at 10:21 p.m. Sept. 28 on U.S. 77 south of 180th Road. Holland was driving his 2000 Ford. No injuries were reported.

U.S. 77 south of 270th Road

Three rolls of fence detached from the back of a truck driven by Timothy Morgan’s, 53, Inman, at 10:34 p.m. Oct. 3 on U.S. 77Road. Philip Whybrew, 51, Albany, Ind., could not avoid striking the pieces of fence. No injuries were reported. Morgan was driving his 2002 Ford F550. Whybrew was driving his 2007 Volvo.

1700 block of 190th Road east of Pawnee Road

Ethan Pontious, 17, 415 N. Freeborn St., Marion, struck a concrete box culvert after losing control of his vehicle at 7:41 p.m. Oct. 2. No injuries were reported. Pontious was driving a 1994 GMC Sierra registered to Sheila Williams of the same address.

2100 block of 150th Road east of Timber Road

Nathaniel Farney, 34, Wichita, rolled his motorcycle and was ejected from the vehicle at 8:15 p.m. Oct. 1 while driving on the 2100 block of 150th Road. Farney was transported by Marion County EMS to St. Luke Hospital by 8:50 p.m.

900 block of Falcon Road south of 100th Road

Myron Goertzen, 56, Newton, struck a deer at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 2 while northbound on Falcon Road. No injuries were reported. Goertzen was driving his 2001 Mercury.

Countryside Feed parking lot, Hillsboro

Helen Leppke, 72, 1678 E. 100th Road, Peabody, backed into a parked car at 2 p.m. Oct. 7 in the Countryside Feed parking lot. No injuries were reported. Leppke was driving her 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis. She struck a 1996 Ford F-150.
