Thomas Tajchman, 20, 2289 Yarrow Road, Marion, struck a deer while driving east on U.S. 56 at 12:50 a.m. March 1. Tajchman was driving his 1998 Dodge pickup truck.

Milepost 5.8 of K-150

Aaron Van Fossen, 25, 1213 Sunny Slope, Emporia, drove on snow covered piece of K-150, fishtailed, exited the road, and turned the 2008 GMC single-heavy truck on its driver’s side at 9:55 a.m. Feb. 27. No injuries were reported in the accident. The truck is registered to Steve Lanier, 8496 SW Walnut Valley Road.

1200 block of Nighthawk Road

Joshua Friesen, 29, 108 ½ Main St., Hillsboro, drove off Nighthawk Road into a ditch before returning to the road at 9:17 p.m. Feb. 13. No injuries were reported in the accident. Friesen was drivign his 2002 Ford passenger car.

Timber Road north of 50th Road

Jesse Newman Jr., 26, 656 Timber Road, Peabody, struck a delineator sign, a barbed wire fence, and a utility pole driving north on Timber Road at 7:40 a.m. Feb. 25. No injuries were reported in the accident. Newman was driving his 2005 Honda sport utility vehicle.

200 block of North Main Street, Hillsboro

Echo Penwell, 61, 112 Jefferson St., Marion, struck a parked 1987 Cadillac car while backing up at 8:40 a.m. Feb. 27 in a Hillsboro parking lot. Penwell was driving a GMC pickup truck registered to David Penwell, same address. The parked car was registered to Charles Ayers, 580 150th Road, Hillsboro.
