According to accident reports released Friday:

SHERIFF

K-168 near US-56

Ryan Kleinsasser, 17, of Hillsboro, was northbound on K-168, .3 mi north of US-56, at 11 p.m. Aug. 20, when the 2005 Ford Focus he was driving went off the right side of the road, crossed the center line, and went into the west ditch, striking a barbed wire fence. Sgt. Larry Starkey reported Kleinsasser stated he fell asleep. The car was extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Indigo Rd. near 130th Rd.

Lori Soo Hoo, 35, of Hillsboro, was driving northbound in a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria owned by USD 410 when she struck a deer at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 26 on Indigo Rd. The right front of the vehicle was damaged, but was driven from the scene.

US-50 and Marion St.

Ginny Grimmett, 61, of Florence, was driving a 2005 Ford Focus westbound on US-50 at 11:24 on Aug. 22 when, from behind, she struck a 1983 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Tony Britton, 72, of Florence. Britton was turning left off US-56 onto Marion St. Undersheriff David Huntley reported Grimmett did not see a turn signal, and struck the pickup on the driver’s door.

Old Mill Rd. and 350th Rd.

Stephen Holub, 15, of Tampa was northbound on Old Mill Rd. at 6:20 a.m. on Aug. 25 when the 1997 Ford Ranger pickup he was driving failed to negotiate the tee intersection with 350th Rd., going through a fence and coming to rest in a field. Huntley reported the driver did not see the intersection due to darkness. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
