Accidents reported

According to accident reports released Friday:

SHERIFF

Indigo Rd. between US-50 and 190th Rd.

A 1998 Saturn S-series sedan driven by Ashley Birkey, 18, Andover, struck a deer on Indigo Rd. at 6 a.m. Oct. 30. Sheriff’s officer Derek Fetrow reported that Birkey did not stay at the scene and reported the accident later. Fetrow said Birkey did not give an exact location for the accident, and he did not find any evidence of the accident while searching Indigo Rd. between US-50 and 190th Rd.

Remington Rd. south of 280th Rd.

Kelly Steiner, 36, of rural Marion, hit a deer with his 2013 Ford F-150 pickup at 7:47 a.m. Oct. 30.

He was able to drive from the scene.

K-15 north of 300th Rd.

Margaret Smith, 58, Council Grove, hit a deer with her 2008 Chevrolet Impala at 6:57 a.m. Thursday.

She was able to drive from the scene.

90th Rd. east of Meridian Rd.

Samantha Jarvis, 20, Newton, hit a deer with her 1999 Mercury Cougar at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 5.

She was able to drive from the scene.

US-50 west of Nighthawk Rd.

Noel Mananghaya, 47, Allen, Texas, hit a deer with his 2014 Kia Sorento at 6:25 p.m. Nov. 5.

He was able to drive from the scene.

190th Rd. west of Upland Rd.

Francine Mueller, 54, Tampa, was driving her 2003 Chrysler Town and Country east on 190th Rd. when a deer emerged from the ditch and struck the passenger side of the car at 6:46 a.m. Nov. 5.

She was able to drive from the scene.

Intersection of Nighthawk and 90th Rds.

Shirley Beisel, 61, Peabody, was attempting a U-turn at the intersection of Nighthawk and 90th Rds. when her 2000 Honda Odyssey struck the rear passenger door of a northbound 2013 Toyota Prius driven by Cora Bloomer, 72, Newton, at 4:10 p.m. Thursday. Sheriff’s officer Mike Ottensmeier reported that Beisel said she did not see the approaching car.

Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Intersection of Ash and D Sts.

Norma Klemm, 81, of Hillsboro, allegedly failed to yield to right of way in her 2007 Toyota sedan, while Katelyn Croft, 21, of Durham, was crossing the intersection at 7:55 a.m. on Friday. The collision caused minimal damage to Croft’s 2000 Ford SUV. No injuries were reported.
