According to law enforcement reports released this week:

SHERIFF

US-56 west of Limestone Rd.

Shayla Clark, 54, Peabody was driving east in her 2008 Ford Eclipse at 6:40 p.m. March 1 when wind suction caused by a passing westbound semi caused the vehicle’s hood to blow open and strike the windshield. The hood was damaged, but the vehicle was driven from the scene.

Nighthawk Rd. north of US-50

Janice Simmons, 74, Wichita, was attempting a left-hand turn into a driveway when her 2007 Toyota Camry was struck in the front passenger door by a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire driven by Cheyenn West, 20, Peabody, at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 17. Deputy Travis Wilson’s report said West thought that Simmons was stopping at a mail box. Both cars were driven from the scene.

US-77 south of 230th

Lucy Cook, 69, Newton, struck a deer with a 2003 Buick Park Avenue at 7:20 p.m. Thursday.
