Accident reports released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
SHERIFF
K-15 north of 150th Rd.
Kathryn Woelk, 57, Hillsboro, struck a deer with her 2012 Chrysler Town and Country at 8:16 p.m. Oct. 26. The vehicle was towed.
US-77/US-56 at 350th Rd.
A 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 owned and driven by Steven Schild, 73, Burdick, was stopped for road construction at 11:25 a.m. Oct. 26 when a 2008 GMC Sierra driven by Dalton McCloud, 24, Cheney, and owned by Amerisafe Services LLC of Wichita, struck the Ram from behind. A passenger in the Sierra, Paden Griffiths, 20, Wichita, was reported to have possible minor injuries, but was not taken to a hospital. Deputy Michael Ottensmeier issued a citation to McCloud for following too closely. Both vehicles were towed.
US-56 east of Eagle Rd.
Clyde Jost, 60, Hillsboro, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and pulling a header trailer east on US-56 when a wheel and rim came off the trailer, striking a westbound 2001 Jeep Cherokee driven by Matthew Sneed, 17, Lehigh at 6:39 p.m. Oct. 23. No one was injured. The Cherokee was towed.
K-15 south of 230th Rd.
Steven Jury, 56, Hillsboro, struck a deer with a 2010 Kenworth truck owned by Countryside Feed as he was northbound at 6:40 a.m. Oct. 30.
At the same time, Cory Ensz, 24, Tampa, was driving south in a 2017 Toyota RAV4 that ran over the deer carcass. The car, owned by Tamera Clement of McPherson, suffered minor damage.
US-50 east of Sunflower Rd.
Amanda Omstead, 26, Florence, struck a deer with her 2006 Buick LaCrosse at 7:16 a.m. Oct. 27.
US-77 north of 110th Rd.
Donna Hanschu, 71, Marion, hit a semi truck brake pad in the middle of the road with her 2011 Ford Fiesta at 11:44 a.m. Oct. 27. The vehicle was towed.
