Algae prevention

To the editor:

After reading “Reservoir closed by toxic algae bloom” (an online breaking news update) and researching what other states have implemented in regards to the issue, I cannot help to wonder why the city and county have not been able to get this under control relatively easy.

The reservoir is important to the county’s water supply and should be addressed as such.

A little research on my own found products like SolarBee (a solar-powered aeration system) to be non-harmful without the use of chemicals to get this under control once and for all — like other states with similar issues have already done.
