Alice Brockmeier

Alice L. Brockmeier, 76, of Herington, died Aug. 26 at Herington Municipal Hospital.

Born Jan. 31, 1933, to Martin F. and Martha E. (Krause) Brockmeier, who preceded her in death, in rural Herington.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, and helped on the family farm and babysat her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include a brother, Eldred, Hope; and five sisters, Loretta Liets and Marilyn Will of Herington, Myrna Eskeldson of Ramona, Shirley Lehman of Salina, and Donna Ascher of O’Fallon Ill.

Services were Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Herington. The Rev. John Riebhoff officiated.

A memorial has been established with the church and Dickinson County Hospice. Donations may be sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Herington Chapel, 404 S Broadway, Herington KS 67449-3038.
