All clear for both lakes

No news is good news.

Both Marion Reservoir and Marion County Park and Lake received official all-clears Thursday — no watches, no warnings — regarding toxic blue-green algae.

This week’s list of advisories from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment lists warnings for Atchison County Park Lake, Lake Afton near Wichita, Melvern Reservoir’s outlet pond, and portions of Milford Reservoir in Geary County.

Less serious watches are in place for Central Park Lake in Shawnee, McLaughlin Lake in Valley Center, and other portions of Milford Reservoir.
