Anna E. Busenitz, 89, died Jan. 4, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

She was born Feb. 13, 1922, in Newton to Herman and Anna (Harder) Entz.

She married Karl Busenitz on Aug. 2, 1946, at Emmaus Mennonite Church, rural Whitewater. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1995. She attended Newton Bible Church.

She is survived by her children, Roger Busenitz of Newton, Annora Goering of Marion, Eldrid Busenitz of Newton, Loreta Seibel of Kechi, Darlene Busenitz of Newton, Ron Busenitz of El Droado, and Gordon Busenitz of Newton; sisters-in-law Arlene Entz of Peabody and Olga Busenitz of Newton; 30 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl; a son, Virgil; her parents; seven brothers; and two sisters.

A funeral was Saturday at Newton Bible Church with Pastor Matthew Kruse officiating. Visitation with family was Friday evening at Petersen Funeral Home. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.

Memorial funds have been established for Child Evangelism Fellowship and contributions may be made in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
