Annual reservoir cleanup is April 25

Volunteers are being sought for the 13th annual Marion Reservoir Cleanup Day.

Volunteers should “dress to get grubby.” They will be tasked with picking up trash around the reservoir, connecting waterways, riparian zones, and wildlife refuges that lie in the North American flyway.

Gloves, trash bags, donuts, and drinks will be provided.

Volunteers should meet at the Army Corps of Engineers office at the east end of the dam at 9 a.m. April 25. The event lasts until 1 p.m.

Great Plans Computers and Networking, the Marion Reservoir Army Corps of Engineers, Tampa State Bank, Mudpuppies Missouri Stream Team No. 2642, and Marion Reservoir WRAPS will sponsor the event.

Walk-ups are welcome, but those who wish to RSVP may call (620) 382-2006 or (620) 382-2101 or email mudpuppy@gpcn.net.
