Another storm buries county
More winter weather this week made traveling hazardous in Marion County.
Following blowing snow and frigid temperatures this past week, residents found themselves digging out again Tuesday and today from another snowstorm.
Forecasters were predicting at least 10 inches of snow by today with a winter storm warning through noon today.
Temperatures remained in the teens with a moderate northerly wind, causing wind chills to dip to single digits.
Marion County students had another snow day Tuesday with Peabody-Burns students going home at noon. No school closings were announced at press time for today but judging from the accumulation of 6 inches or more in the county, it was doubtful school would be in session.
In true Kansas fashion, temperatures are anticipated to be in the 40s and 50s later this week.
