Team finished second
In a 1A state powerlifting meet April 10 at Quivira Heights High School, Bushton, the Centre High School squad took second place.
Leading the way were two Antoszyk brothers who set new state records.
Mikael Antoszyk, a sophomore, competed in the 114-pound division. He placed first in power clean, squat, and bench. He set a record of 205 pounds in power clean.
In the 132-pound division, Zach Antoszyk, a senior, placed first in bench and power clean. He set a new power clean record of 255 pounds.

132-pound division: Adam Matz, fifth in clean; Justin Deines, third in power clean and fourth in bench and squat.
148-pound division: Cole Svoboda, first in power clean and third in bench; Shane Methvin, first in squat and fourth in bench.
156-pound division: Rustyn Kerbs, second in power clean.
165-pound division: Casey Kristek, third in squat and third in clean.
173-pound division: Khusrav Mirov, third in bench.
Heavyweight division: Trevor Troutt, second in power clean; Stephen Kaiser, sixth in bench.
