Area athletes named to league teams

Gordon, Hett make HOA all-league teams

Two Marion High School basketball players were named to Heart of America all-league teams.

Junior Forward Whitney Gordon made the girls first team. Gordon averaged a double-double in points and rebounds for the Warriors this season.

Sophomore point guard Jordan Hett earned a spot on the boys second team.

Centre athletes receive all-league honors

The Wheat State League has awarded all-league status to several Centre High School athletes.

Seniors Brian Burhoop and Tanner Brunner were named to the All-League Boys Basketball first team.

Senior Allison Shields and freshman Cacey Simons were named to the All-League Girls Basketball first team.
