Freshman Seth Snelling from Marion was named a track and field academic all-American this week at Hutchinson Community College.

Snelling’s 3.79 grade-point average qualified him for inclusion on the list from the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Seven of Snelling’s teammates at Hutchinson also made the list. The team as a whole placed first in the nation in academic honors from the NJCAA Track and Field Coaches Association.
