Centre FFA competed Dec. 7 in South Central District career development events in Marion.
Zach Barney was a member of the ag sales A-team with Dylan Deines, Max Svoboda, and Greg Oborny. Barney finished first individually, and the team placed second.
They chose ag-related products, learned about them, and then “sold” them to potential customers. They also took a test over the selling process.
Payton Harms, Grace Peterson, Grace Knepp, and Austin Peterson participated in ag communications and editing. They listened to a presentation by a Kansas Department of Agriculture representative and created a website design, video, press release, and blog post about it.
Several members participated in a Kansas Beef Expo judging contest Friday in Hutchinson. They placed eight classes of cattle and completed two sets of reasons.
A team of Knepp, Oborny, Deines and Jensen Riffel placed 22nd. A second team of Barney, Kyle Naerebout, Jacob Bittle, and Alexa Ammann placed 25th.
