Guests at Marion Senior Center celebrated birthdays, blossoms, and barbecue last week.
They sang “Happy Birthday” to Lucille Bitner, who celebrated May 20, and to Joan Meyer on May 22, a milestone 90th.
Shirley Bowers brought a vase full of peonies.
Harlow Warneke will be grilling hamburgers for the center in June.
Jen McGill of Catholic Charities presented information May 27 on services offered to veterans’ families.
Cooperative Grain and Supply rented the building for a breakfast and meeting Thursday.
Marion Elementary School has requested that seniors collect two-liter bottles and old T-shirts to help the school raise money.
The McKinney Sisters of Moundridge are tentatively scheduled to present a program June 12.

Friday — Grilled hamburger with bun, lettuce-tomato salad, grilled onions, barbecue beans, oatmeal cookie, ice cream.
Monday — Beef patty with onions, potato tots, steamed cabbage, with parsley, mixed fruit, whole wheat roll.
Tuesday — Meat loaf, baked potatoes, candied carrots, applesauce, frosted gelatin poke cake, wheat bread.
June 10 — Chicken enchilada, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, refried beans, peach crisp.
June 11— Open-faced turkey sandwich with gravy, mashed potatoes, beets, rice cereal treat.
