SENIOR CENTER:   Birthdays celebrated

Marion Senior Center

Patrons celebrated several birthdays and witnessed the talents of Marion High School Singers on Dec. 16 at Marion Senior Center.

Aulne United Methodist Church members visited to celebrate the December birthdays of Carol Hett, Jack Williams, and pastor Jeff Lee, while high school instructor Tomas Lambotte also attended to direct MHS Singers.

Sue Clough conducted a business meeting before lunch.

In other news, there are walking sticks for sale carved by Stewart Hammond, who was recently featured in the Marion County Record.

Marge Sandwell recently became a wintertime meal delivery driver for the senior center. “Singing Sisters” Lydia and Kimberly Vanderzanden will perform Dec. 30. Marc Baker, an Elvis impersonator, also will perform at the senior center on “The King’s” birthday Jan. 7.
