WEDDINGS:   Bonnie and Wesley Brewer marry in Bern

Bonnie Bauerle and Wesley Brewer were married July 11 at Bern United Methodist Church in Bern.

The Revs. Weldon Gullickson, the bride’s pastor, and Bruce Bradshaw, the groom’s pastor, officiated.

Gary and Marcia Bauerle of Sabetha are the bride’s parents. Doug and Margaret Brewer of Newton are parents of the groom. Grandparents are Harold and Mary Bauerle and Illola Miller of Sabetha, the late Gale Miller, Loyd Brewer of Peabody and the late Louella Brewer, and Allan Steffy of Manheim, Pa., and the late Mildred Steffy.

Megan Brooks, a friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Gartrell, Jamie Kissel, and Jessica Ploeger, friends of the bride; Whitney Davis, cousin of the bride; and Ashley Wilson, sister of the groom.

Matt Entz was best man for his friend. Groomsmen were Josh Andres, Ryan Johnson, Marcus Linck, and Mario Sanchez, friends of the groom; and Chris Bauerle, brother of the bride.

Flower girl was Kayla Devore, a friend of the bride. Ring bearers were Toby and Brody Lewis, friends of the groom.

Ushers were Brian McClain and Rick Huffman, friends of the bride, and Don Wenzl and Trevor Milholland, friends of the groom.

Vocalists were Chris Bauerle, Whitney Davis, Rick Huffman, and Ashley Wilson. Musicians were trombonists Derek and Grant Klingenberg, friends of the groom, organist Phil Figgs, and pianist Beth Thurn, friends of the bride.

Candle lighters were Amber Langenegger and Lindsay Wiebe, friends of the groom. Lucinda Gruber and Selena Manche, friends of the bride, were guestbook attendants.

The noon reception and lunch were at the Bern Community Building. Reception attendants were Rhianna Becker, Brandi and Timothy McCoy, and Kayla and Megan Renyer, friends of the bride. Cake cutters were Abby Bauerle and Sarah Strahm, cousins of the bride, and Kayla Polluck, a friend of the bride. Serving attendants were Jane Bauerle, Joyce Corwin, and Glenna Strahm, aunts of the bride; and Dianna Bradford and Kathy Fisher, aunts of the groom.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Windmill Inn in Seneca, followed by a rehearsal.

The bride graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology with Family and Consumer Sciences Education Licensure. Currently she is employed as a teacher at Remington Middle School, Whitewater.

Her husband is a 2007 graduate of North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit in automotive collision repair and is employed by Epp’s Service in Elbing.

The couple honeymooned in Manitou Springs, Colo., and make their home in rural Newton.
