Bonnie J. Kerns

Bonnie J. Kerns, 81, of Reading, Pa., died Sept. 23, at Kutztown Manor.

Born Oct. 2, 1927, in Peabody, she was the daughter of Henry and Elma (Seibel) Koslowsky.

She was an executive assistant at AT&T.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Howard F. Kerns, and a brother, Harry Koslowsky.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathee Rhode of Barto, Pa., and Karen DeJarnett of Kutztown, Pa.; a brother, Martin Koslowsky of Peabody; two sisters, Shirley Bartel of Albuquerque, N.M., and Sharon Melson of Santa Maria, Calif.; a stepson, Frank Kerns of Gordon, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Kathleen Romano of Birdsboro, Pa.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were today at Milkins Funeral Home, Temple, Pa.

Burial followed in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.

A memorial has been established with Christ Lutheran Church, 840 Philadelphia Avenue, Reading, PA 19607.
