Greg and Mary Beth Bowers of Marion announce the engagement of their son, Luke Bowers of Leawood, to Rebecca Rosenkrans of Overland Park, daughter of Steven and Amy King of Corpus Christi, Texas.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Blue Valley West High School in Overland Park, and of the University of Kansas with a B.A. in linguistics and French. She is employed by The New Theatre in Overland Park.

The bridegroom is a class of 2007 graduate of Marion High School, and a graduate of the University of Kansas with a B.S. in chemical and biochemical engineering. He is a biomedical engineer at Kansas City VA Medical Center.

The couple will be married April 18 at Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lawrence.
