Big Brother Big Sisters of Marion County will have its annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake fundraiser Feb. 27 and 28.

The fundraiser starts at 10 p.m. Feb. 27 and 1 p.m. Feb. 28 at SherBowl Lanes of Marion, Peabody Lanes, and Trail Lane Bowling of Hillsboro.

Bowling events to benefit children will take place across Kansas February through April.

Children with a Big Brother or Sister:

• Are 46 percent less likely to start using illegal drugs.
• Are 27 percent less likely to start drinking alcohol.
• Are 33 percent less likely to use violence to resolve problems.
• Are 55 percent less likely to skip school.
