Brian L. Bina, formerly of Marion, is now associated with the law firm of Karstetter & Klenda LLC of McPherson and Marion.

Bina was born and raised in the Marion area and graduated from Marion High School as one of four co-valedictorians in 2003.

He graduated cum laude from Emporia State University with a degree in business and a minor in political science.

After graduating from ESU, Bina graduated with a juris doctorate degree from Washburn University School of Law in May and received a certificate in business and transactional law. During his time at Washburn, Bina was an officer in the Business Law Society and received a medal of excellence from the American Bankruptcy Institute. He graduated in the top 12 percent of his class. While in law school, he worked for a bankruptcy law firm in Topeka.

In addition to handling many legal matters, Bina will represent both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy cases.

“We are extremely pleased to have Brian join our firm,” said Tim Karstetter, one of the partners. “Having grown up in the area, he is familiar with central Kansas and we feel like he will be a great fit for our practice.”

Bina will work in the firm’s offices in both McPherson and Marion.
