Bridget Lundy of Marion recently was chosen by Unit #22 of American Legion Auxiliary to attend the 67th annual session of Sunflower Girls State June 7-12 on the University of Kansas Lawrence campus.

Joining approximately 325 other young women who have just completed their junior year of high school, Lundy will “Learn by Doing” the political system involved in the government of Kansas. Beginning at the city level, advancing to county and the state, the girls will register to vote, file nomination papers, conduct political campaigns, and prepare and present speeches.

Lundy is the daughter of Bill and Mickey Lundy, of Marion.
