A hundred people attended the Saturday morning pancake feed at the legion. Some familiar faces in the crowd were Audine and Irwin Strand, Bonnie Sill and Beverly of Herington and Scott and Connie Barlow, Lexy and Alex, of Toronto.

Goldie Steeley’s birthday is Nov. 22. Cards may be sent to her at Alterra Sterling House, Room 112, 1200 E Kirwin, Salina KS 67401.

Burdick Senior Citizens will meet at noon Nov. 20 at Burdick Legion hall. There will be a catered Thanksgiving meal.

Angela Basore and Beka were late afternoon visitors Sunday of Forrest and Marie Anderson.

Shirley Miller of Herington entertained with a luncheon Nov. 3 at her home. Attending were Goldie Steeley, Shirley Gawith, and Joan of Salina and Marilyn Hageberg of Burdick. They celebrated the birthdays of Marilyn and Goldie.

Those who attended the play Friday at Centre High School were Elinor Remy, Tom Remy, Tad Remy, Mary Deane Peterson, and Lois Peterson.

Burdick United Methodist Women will meet at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Burdick United Methodist fellowship hall. Linda Peterson will give devotions, the lesson will be given by Kiki Krause, and Ruth Ann Carlson will furnish refreshments.

Ruth Riggin met Julie Sadar of Salina in Junction City Nov. 4 and continued on to Wamego to visit Gary Zinn.

Corlberg-Smith #147 American Legion and Auxiliary will sponsor a second pancake feed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Burdick Legion hall. Cost is by donation. Proceeds go to help the legion maintain the building.

Whitney Gutsch of Herington was a Saturday guest of Darlene Gutsch. They helped with the pancake feed at the legion. Perry Gutsch picked Whitney up in the evening on his way home from work.

Attending the Hebron Lutheran Church 125th anniversary celebration Sunday were Inez Messer of St. Louis, Mo., Forrest and Marie Anderson, Jean Brunner, and Charles and Arlene Carlson.

Gary and Karen Korte of Emporia were Sunday visitors of Forrest and Marie Anderson.

Charles and Arlene Carlson accompanied Linda Carlson to Wichita on Saturday to attend the fourth birthday of Preslee Karst at the home of Jonnie and Cicely Karst.

Harry Schump and Dean Forsberg were afternoon visitors Nov. 4 of Evelyn Forsberg.

Forrest and Marie Anderson were evening visitors Sunday of Roger Peterson.

Harry Schump of Herington was a Saturday visitor of Evelyn Forsberg. They attended the pancake feed at the legion in the morning and were visitors of Dean and Nanette Forsberg.

Evelyn Forsberg was an afternoon visitor Sunday of Harry Schump in Herington.

Approximately 30 people met Sunday at the Burdick United Methodist Church fellowship hall to pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child.
