Gary and Karen Korte of Emporia accompanied Forrest and Marie Anderson to the funeral of Mary Deane Peterson on July 3. The Andersons spent the weekend at the Kortes’ home.

Ron Anderson and family, Drew Jones and family of Kansas City, Mo., and Don Anderson of Emporia spent the Fourth of July weekend with Leona Anderson.

Doris Winkler of Marion visited Darlene Gutsch on July 5.

There will be a Burdick Senior Citizens meeting with dinner at noon July 23 at the Legion Hall.

Dean Forsberg visited Evelyn Forsberg on July 2 and 7. Evelyn Forsberg visited Jane Rickenbrode, Wade, and Morgan on July 7 at Council Grove.

Clint and Diana Jost and James attended a Summervill family reunion July 4 at the Marion City Building.

Lois Peterson attended the funeral of Harve Hawkinson on July 2 at Penwell-Gable Funeral Home in Herington.

Mike and Linda Carlson took Charles and Arlene Carlson to the 80th birthday supper and dance of Monte Carl on July 3 at the Council Grove Community Building.

Burdick Council of Clubs will meet at 7:30 p.m. July 29 at the Burdick Legion Hall.

Harry Schump visited Evelyn Forsberg on July 2 and 4. Schump and Forsberg attended McKenna Fogo’s second birthday party July 4 at Jerry Ivey Park in Salina.

Burdick United Methodist Women served a luncheon July 2 after Harvey Hawkinson’s funeral. The group will meet at 7:30 p.m. July 21 at Burdick United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

Forrest and Marie Anderson visited Maurine Johnson at Bethany Home on July 2 in Lindsborg.

Charles and Arlene Carlson visited Kent and Jean Brunner for dinner July 2. Nolan and Melissa Brunner and family of Herington also were guests.

Marilyn Hageberg returned home following tests at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
