Marilyn Hageberg accompanied Shirley Miller on Oct. 20 to the home of Janet Johnson in Enterprise, who hosted a luncheon to honor Hageberg’s birthday. Other attendees included Shirley Gawith of Salina and her two daughters. Johnson and Gawith are nieces of Goldie Steeley.
Nancy Riggin was an Oct. 19 visitor of Darlene Gutsch. Riggin brought some food for Gutsch.
Harry Schump of Herington was an Oct. 18 guest of Evelyn Forsberg. Willie and Savannah Hicks were evening visitors.
Rigo and Mario Salazar of Derby were guests Friday through Sunday of Burdette and Maureen Peterson.
Burdick United Women met Oct. 20 at the Burdick United Methodist Church fellowship hall with nine members present — Janet Matz, Karen Carlson, Susan Carlson, Lee Shade, Nancy Riggin, Diana Jost, Darlene Gutsch, Jean Ecklund, and Kiki Krause. Gutsch gave devotions, the lesson was given by Karen Carlson, and Riggin was host. The next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17 in observance of World Thank Offering.

Marilyn and Gary Hageberg met Carol and Terry Dutton of Topeka, Marilyn’s sister and nephew, Oct. 20 in Herington for supper to celebrate Carol’s birthday. Surprise guests were Thad and Janie Meierhoff of Marion and Robert and Leola Linder of Hope.
Maureen Peterson and Rigo and Mario Salazar of Derby attended the Herington/Mission Valley football game Friday in Herington.
Dean and Nanette Forsberg and McKenna Fogo of Salina were afternoon visitors Oct. 23 of Evelyn Forsberg.
Keith and Diana Miller of Grand Junction, Colo., and grandsons Cole and J.J. Miller of Colorado Springs were guests of Lois Peterson from Oct. 14 through Oct. 19. After they left Burdick, they stayed through Saturday in Topeka visiting Keith’s relatives before returning to Colorado. Lois Peterson and her houseguests were Oct. 17 dinner guests of Phil and Jamie Peterson and Oct. 18 visitors of Ruth Riggin in Salina.
