Hayrack rides, cookout attract crowd

About 80 people attended a hayrack ride and wiener roast Oct. 24 at Riggin’s Pond, sponsored by Burdick United Methodist Church. Pleasant weather contributed to the turnout.

Ken and Alice Peterson of Herington visited Charles and Arlene Carlson on Oct. 27. The group had coffee and refreshments.

Forrest and Marie Anderson went Oct. 21 to Emporia and spent the night as guests of Gary and Karen Korte. The group went to Louisville, Ky., on Oct. 22 to visit Eric Korte. They returned to Kansas Oct. 26.
Clint and Diana Jost were dinner guests of Nick and Beth Weibert and Kaylee on Thursday in Abilene.
Walter and Katherine Otte attended “Scan Otte” on Saturday in Dwight, enjoying pumpkin carving.

Sue Gutsch of Lincolnville visited Darlene Gutsch on Oct. 26, bringing several boxes of Peddycord pictures and memorabilia to look through and identify.

Corlberg-Smith Post 147 of the American Legion and Auxiliary will have pancake feeds Nov. 13 and 20 at the Burdick American Legion Hall. Donations will be used to pay for upkeep of the building.
