Burdick Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday at the Burdick Legion Hall with a catered dinner.
Marilyn Hageberg is in Newton Medical Center after having surgery Thursday.
Forrest and Marie Anderson attended a lunch Saturday at the Burdick Legion Hall to celebrate Savannah Hicks’ graduation from Emporia State University with a bachelor’s of science degree. Lois Peterson and Evelyn Forsberg also attended.

Harry Schump of Herington took Evelyn Forsberg out to lunch May 9 in Council Grove. Ethan Forsberg was an afternoon visitor of Evelyn.
Tye Remy and friend of Manhattan were overnight guests Saturday of Elinor Remy.
Dean Forsberg was an afternoon visitor May 10, 11, and 12 of Evelyn Forsberg.
Elinor Remy accompanied Tom Remy to the Spring Music Festival on May 9 at Centre High School.
Forrest and Marie Anderson attended graduation services and receptions for Brian Burhoop and Adam Matz Sunday at Centre High School.
There will be vacation Bible school 1:30 to 4 p.m. June 20 through 23 at Burdick United Methodist Church fellowship hall. The theme will be Country Time. The Bible school is for children in preschool through sixth grade.
Carl and Nancy Hane of Fort Collins, Colo., were guests April 24 through 26 of Dan and Linda Peterson.
Elinor Remy accompanied Tom and Lynley Remy and Katie to an FFA banquet May 5.
Dean Forsberg was an afternoon visitor May 3 of Evelyn Forsberg. Dean was also a dinner guest May 5 and 6 and Ethan Forsberg was an afternoon visitor May 6.
Amy Gutsch and Whitney sent a large chocolate cupcake with white frosting and a bag of pretzel treats Whitney had made with Perry Gutsch and Anthony who visited Darlene Gutsch May 8. Perry brought flowers for planters outdoors and did yard work.

Sabrina Dunkin and sons of Rose Hill hosted a dinner for Garrett’s second birthday May 7 in Council Grove. Gayla Deines brought food to Darlene Gutsch May 8 and they ate lunch together. After lunch, Gayla did chores for her mother. She also brought flowers and a tomato plant.

Lee and Al Shade visited Ken Barrett, a new resident, May 8.
