The Burdick Relay For Life team is sponsoring a soup supper, bingo, and Texas Hold ’Em Saturday at the Burdick American Legion.
Burdette and Maureen Peterson entertained Sunday with a dinner celebrating their 40th anniversary in Abilene. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Leuker of Hosington; Samantha Beye; Carla Chase of Emporia; Marvin Peterson and Josie of Lincolnville; Ron and Jenny Schrader, Shea and Hunter, of Wichita; Bret and Lisa Beye, Cuyler and Chelsea, of Herington; Cesar and Kelli Salazar, Rigo and Mario, of Derby; Roger Peterson; Rolland Peterson; and Mary Deane Peterson. The group attended church services in the morning at Burdick Hebron Lutheran Church. Lois Peterson, Phil and Jamie Peterson, and Jim and Marilyn Peterson attended a party for Burdette and Maureen Saturday evening hosted by Bret and Lisa Beye and family in Herington with many other friends and relatives attending.
Perry Gutsch was a morning visitor Thursday of Darlene Gutsch. He stopped by before work and brought her medicine.
Dean Forsberg took Evelyn Forsberg to buy groceries Jan. 4 in Council Grove. They ate lunch out. Dean and Savannah Forsberg were dinner guests Jan. 6 of Evelyn. Savannah spent Thursday with Evelyn. They had lunch together and made donuts.
Jean Brunner picked up Charles and Arlene Carlson Sunday and took them to dinner at Kent and Jean Brunner’s in Herington. Other guests included John and Amy Hanley of Lawrence, Nolan Brunner of Herington, and Jill Brunner and Tucker of Emporia.

Burdick United Methodist Women will meet at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Burdick United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
