There will be a benefit supper for Shelby (Deines) Linahan at 6 p.m. March 20 at Burdick United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall sponsored by the Burdick Relay for Life team. The meal will be by donation with an auction to follow.
A surprise birthday party was March 3 for the 18th birthday of Khusvav Mirov, a foreign exchange student staying with Marcus and Peggy Carlson. The party was at the Carlson’s home in Lincolnville. Guests attending were Dennis and Kiki Krause, Lyle Krause, Ronnie and Susan Carlson, Justin Tang, Duane Carlson and Carrie, Joyce and Ruth Ann Carlson, Brent Carlson of Lincolnville, and Travis and Ly Carlson and Cole of Burdick.
There will be a baby shower for Dana Miller and daughter Scarlet Jo at 2 p.m. Sunday at Burdick Hebron Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in the basement.
Dean Forsberg was a dinner guest March 2 of Evelyn Forsberg.
Elinor Remy picked up Katie Remy March 3 and brought her home for lunch. Katie is recuperating at home after a recent surgery.
Burdick United Methodist Women will meet at 7:30 p.m. March 17 at Burdick United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Karen Carlson will give devotions. Linda Peterson will provide the lesson and devotions.

Four American Legion Auxiliary members and two American Legion members attended the 89th birthday part of the American Legion March 2 at the Legion Hall. Those in attendance had a potluck supper with birthday cake and ice cream. The auxiliary held a meeting following the supper. The next auxiliary meeting will be at 2 p.m. May 4.
Adrianne Richard and Judah of Lawrence were houseguests of Jamie and Phil Peterson Thursday. A group joined them Thursday evening for supper in Lost Springs. They were Joyce Roever, Danny Miller, and Lois Peterson. Adrianne and Judah returned home Friday evening.
Dean Forsberg, Harry Schump, Ethan Forsberg, and Savannah Forsberg were visitors Saturday of Evelyn Forsberg.
Jean Brunner was an afternoon visitor of Charles and Arlene Carlson Friday. She took them to Herington to grocery shop and for an appointment.
Kevin Thrift of Apple Valley, Minn., the grandson of Walt and Katherine Otte, has been their houseguest since the last of February. He has been helping with farm work and will return home this week.

It was McKenna Fogo of Salina who visited Evelyn Forsberg, not McKenzie.
