Evelyn Forsberg was an afternoon visitor March 22 of Mary Deane Peterson.

Good Friday services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Burdick Hebron Lutheran Church. It will be a joint service with the Burdick United Methodist Church.

Ruth Riggin was a visitor March 24 of Gary Zinn in Wamego.

Savannah Forsberg and Willie Hicks were evening visitors March 23 of Evelyn Forsberg.

Gayla Deines took Darlene Gutsch to McPherson March 24 for an appointment. Before returning home, they did some shopping and had supper out.

Marie Anderson helped with refreshments at the Pilgrimage of Lights Sunday evening in Herington.

Sunday afternoon and evening visitors of Evelyn Forsberg were Harry Schump of Herington; Jane Rickenbrode, Wade, and Morgan of Council Grove; Dean and Nanette Forsberg and Ethan Forsberg of Jewell; Savannah Forsberg, Willie Hicks, and Marcus and Sabrina Dunkin, Logan, Konnor, and Garrett of Rose Hill.

Mary Deane Peterson had surgery Friday in Wichita and will remain in the hospital for several days. Cards may be sent to her at Wesley Medical Center, Building 4, Room 823, 550 N. Hillside, Wichita 67214.

Burdick United Methodist Women met March 17 at Burdick United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall with seven members present. Devotions were given by Karen Carlson. Easter lesson “Don’t Be Afraid” was presented by Linda Peterson who also served refreshments. The next meeting will be the Annual Guest Spring Tea 6:30 p.m. April 2 at Burdick United Methodist Church. Attending the meeting were Diana Jost, Karen Carlson, Darlene Gutsch, Ruth Ann Carlson, Linda Peterson, Lee Shade, and Linda Basore.

Whitney Gutsch, of Herington, was a visitor March 16 of her grandmother, Darlene Gutsch, during her spring break from school.

Forrest and Marie Anderson attended a meal March 15 at Rock Springs Ranch, which was given in appreciation of 4-H supporters.

Ruth Riggin and Lois Peterson visited Gary Zinn March 17 at Wamego.

Burdick Senior Citizens met March 19 with a catered meal at the Legion Hall with 20 members present. A short business meeting was held after dinner. Those attending were Forrest and Marie Anderson, Al and Lee Shade, Walt and Katherine Otte, Gary and Marilyn Hageberg, Joyce and Ruth Ann Carlson, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, Nancy Hanson, Darlene Gutsch, Linda Basore, Leona Anderson, Elinor Remy, Lois Peterson, Ruth Riggin, and Linnea Barlow. The next meeting is being tentatively planned for noon April 16 with a meal.

Judah Richard, of Lawrence, was a weekend guest of Phil and Jamie Peterson. They took him home Sunday.

Glenn Carlson was a visitor March 17 of Evelyn Forsberg.

WELCA met March 21 after church services at Hebron Lutheran Church Basement. Dollye Novak presented a lesson. Those attending were Hallie Novak, Nancy Hanson, Carol Riffel, Gloria Martin, and Elinor Remy.

Lois Peterson attended a birthday dinner at noon on Saturday for 12-year-old Kasey Peterson at the home of Jim and Marilyn Peterson. Other guests were Mike Peterson, Kasey’s dad, Lyndon and Matt and Jamie Dalke, and Reagan and Tyler, of Chapman.

Forrest and Marie Anderson accompanied Roger and Rolland Peterson to the Tri-County Telephone Association supper and meeting March 16 at Centre High School. After supper, an entertainment and a business meeting followed.

Jean and Jill Brunner, of Emporia, were visitors March 18 of Charles and Arlene Carlson. They baked cinnamon rolls. Arlene contributed several dozen for an auction. Mike and Linda Carlson picked up Charles and Arlene Carlson March 20 and took them to a benefit supper and auction at the Methodist church.

Jeff and Gayla Deines were visitors March 20 of Darlene Gutsch. They attended the Relay for Life Benefit.

Jake Rickenbrode, Wade, and Morgan, of Council Grove; and Harry Schump, of Herington, were dinner guests March 21 of Evelyn Forsberg. Afternoon visitors were Dean and Nanette Forsberg; Ethan Forsberg; and Sabrina Dunkin, Logan, Konnor and Garrett, of Rose Hill.

Ellinor Remy accompanied Lynley Remy and Katie to Manhattan March 18 where they went shopping and had supper out.

Jane Rickenbrode, Wade, Morgan, and Evelyn Forsberg were supper guests March 21 of Tim and Karen Biehler of rural Herington.

A large crowd attended a supper and auction benefit for Shelby (Deines) Linahan, daughter of Steve and Sandra Deines, of Lawrence, March 20, which was sponsored by Relay for Life. A generous amount of money was raised to help with her medical expenses.
