Forrest and Marie Anderson celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary Sunday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Their son-in-law, Gary Korte of Emporia, performed music, accompanied by Linda Carlson. The family celebrated after the church service at noon at a restaurant in Council Grove. Those attending were Gary and Karen Korte of Emporia, Erin Korte and Jayson Hauser of Topeka, the Rev. Bill Peterson and wife Judy of Herington, and Mike and Linda Carlson.

Burdick United Methodist Church will have Bible school 1:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for children pre-school through sixth grade.

Ruth Prendable of Seabrook, Md., and Marjorie Price of Atlanta, Ga., were houseguests of Gary and Marilyn Hageberg through Thursday morning, when they left for Kansas City to take flights to their homes. They were in Herington on Monday. They visited Hillsboro, Canton, McPherson, and Lindsborg on June 15. They visited friends in the area June 16. Mike and Denice Hageberg and Trevor were hosts for a barbecue supper for them June 16.

Josie Peterson of Lincolnville was an overnight visitor June 17 of Mary Deane Peterson. Karin Nelson visited Mary Dean that evening. Bill and Judy Peterson brought supper June 18. Evelyn Forsberg visited June 15.

Dean Forsberg visited Evelyn Forsberg on June 14. Mary Deane Peterson visited in the afternoon.

Phil, Jamie, and Lois Peterson visited Ruth Riggin on Thursday in Salina.

Charles and Arlene Carlson attended a Father’s Day dinner at noon Sunday at the home of Kent and Jean Brunner. Others who attended were John and Amy Hanley of Lawrence and Jill Brunner and Tucker of Emporia.

Harry Schump of Herington brought dinner June 16 for Evelyn Forsberg and visited. Savannah Hicks visited that evening.

Roger, Rolland, and Lois Peterson joined Gene and Marie Thorton for dinner Sunday at Abilene.

Dean Forsberg visited Evelyn Forsberg on Thursday and Friday evening.

Janine Hageberg, Ashlyn and her friend Robert of Blackwell, Okla., visited Gary and Marilyn Hageberg on Saturday. Janine, Ashlyn, Robert, and Gary attended a barbecue supper Saturday evening to celebrate Father’s Day. Mike and Denice Hageberg were hosts for the supper at their home.

Evelyn Forsberg visited Harry Schump on Saturday afternoon at Herington.

Clint Jost became ill Sunday morning at church. He was transported to Herington Municipal Hospital and transferred to a Wichita hospital.

Harry Schump was a dinner guest Sunday of Evelyn Forsberg. Willie and Savannah Hicks visited Sunday evening.

Mary Deane Peterson fell in her yard Friday and required stitches in the back of her head. Burdette, Maureen, Marvin, and Josie Peterson stayed overnight Saturday. Jenny Schrader of Wichita visited Sunday and stayed until Monday. Angela Basore, Beka, and Matthew and Marie Anderson visited Sunday afternoon.
