The Burdick community was saddened by the death of Mary Deane Peterson June 28 at Herington Municipal Hospital. Visitation was 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Burdick Hebron Lutheran Church.

The funeral was at 10:30 a.m., with her son, Bill Peterson, officiating. Her committal followed the service at Burdick Hebron Cemetery.

Keith and Dianne Miller, of Grand Junction, Colo., were houseguests of Lois Peterson, arriving June 28. They left Sunday to visit Keith’s relatives in Topeka.

Jim and Marilyn Peterson and Phil and Jamie Peterson visited Lois Peterson and the Millers June 29 for supper.

Lois Peterson and the Millers visited Julie Sader and Ruth Riggins in Salina and Gene and Marie Thorton in Abilene June 30.

Linnea Barlow and Cindy Francis, of Emporia, were June 29 visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Jean Brunner took Sunday dinner to her parents, Charles and Arlene Carlson.

Evelyn Forsberg attended a softball game June 29 at Council Grove. Morgan Rickenbrode played on the Council Grove team.

Elinor Remy was a Sunday dinner guest of Tom and Lynley Remy.

Anthony Gutsch was a June 28 and 30 visitor of Darlene Gutsch. He is doing some work for her this summer. Perry Gutsch was a June 30 visitor.

Jane Rickenbrode, Wade, and Morgan; and Harry Schump visited Evelyn Forsberg Saturday.

Burdick United Methodist Women will have their monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. July 21 at Burdick United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Dean and Nanette Forsberg had Sunday supper at their home with guests Harry Schump, Evelyn Forsberg, Jane Rickenbrode and Morgan, and others.

Marilyn Hageberg was taken by ambulance from Herington to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka Friday. She is undergoing tests and called Darlene Gutsch Sunday afternoon.

Evelyn Forsberg visited Burdette and Maureen Peterson Thursday afternoon.

Perry Gutsch and Gayla Deines were Friday evening visitors of Darlene Gutsch.

Harry Schump visited Evelyn Forsberg Sunday.

Dottie Rindt called her aunt Irene Nienstedt with 103rd birthday greetings Friday.

Clint Jost returned from a hospital in Wichita June 29.

Nick and Beth Weibert and Kaylee visited Clint and Diana Jost Sunday.
