Elanor Redmond, Winfield, was an afternoon visitor Aug. 28 of Marilyn Hageberg. She is the daughter-in-law of the late Maxine Nasfund.

C.J. and Pat Baker, Lawrence, were guests Sept. 5 and 6 of Ruth Riggin.

Jessica Deines was an afternoon visitor Aug. 30 of Darlene Gutsch. Jesssica had brought her grandmother some computer supplies.

Julie Sader, Salina, was an afternoon visitor Sept. 4 of Ruth Riggin. Julie helped bake pies for the United Methodist Women Labor Day bake sale.

There will be a senior citizen meeting at 7 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Burdick Legion Hall. The date and time have been changed due to sports events and a previously scheduled meeting at the Legion Hall. There will be a ballot held to decide if the Burdick Senior Citizens will continue operation.

Perry Gutsch and Whitney, Herington, picked up Darlene Gutsch Sept. 6 to attend the community church service at the tennis court.

On the afternoon of Sept. 5, many showed up to help the United Methodist Church hand crank 80 gallons of homemade ice cream for the concession stand.

Guests of Forrest and Marie Anderson Sept 5 and 6 were Gary and Karen Korte, Emporia; Erin Korte, Topeka; and Jayson Hauser, Manhattan. Floyd and Helen Anderson of Kansas City, Mo., were Sept. 7 lunch guests.

Guests of Gary and Marilyn Hageberg Sept. 7 were Janine Hageberg and Ashlynn, Blackwell, Okla.; Carol Dutton, Terry and Kevin, Manhattan; and Teresa Hageberg and Kenny Roberts, Topeka. Terry Dutton had an entry in the parade — a purple truck with silver trim.

Floyd, Walter, and Jane Barnes of Tulsa, Okla., spent Sept. 5 through 7 with Peterson relatives and attended the Labor Day activities. Floyd was a houseguest of Bill and Judy Peterson at Herington, Walter with Marvin Peterson and Josie at Lincolnville, and Jane with Mary Deane Peterson at Burdick.

Forrest and Marie Anderson and Gary and Karen Korte were afternoon visitors Sept. 7 of Steve and Sandra Deines.

Evening visitors of Darlene Gutsch Sept. 5 were Perry Gutsch, Mary Deane Peterson, and Burdette Peterson.
