Forrest and Marie Anderson visited Gary and Karen Korte at Emporia Saturday to help Karen celebrate her birthday.

Hebron Lutheran WELTHA will meet at 7 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at Jewell Swinney’s. Carol Riffel is the lesson leader.

Harry Schump of Herington hosted dinner noon Tuesday at Council Grove for Evelyn Forsberg and Jane Rickenbrode. They celebrated Jane’s birthday.

Ruth Riggin and Lois Peterson went to Wamego Wednesday to visit Gary Zinn and had lunch with him.

Pastor Jay J. Beck of Junction City was a visitor Tuesday evening of Darlene Gutsch.

Mary Deane Peterson was a Wednesday morning visitor of Evelyn Forsberg.

Walt and Katherine Otte, Stanley and Nora Otte, and Dwight and Stacy Otte of Manhattan ate Sunday dinner together at Manhattan. They celebrated the birthdays of Nora and Stacey.

Charles and Arlene Carlson were Sunday dinner guests of Kent and Jean Brunner. Other guests were Lauren Brunner and Jill Brunner and Tucker of Emporia.

Ruth Riggin and Lois Peterson visited LaVerna Miller Sunday afternoon at Herington Municipal Hospital.

Darlene Gutsch accompanied her sister, Doris Winkler, and Bruce Winkler both of Marion Friday evening to a restaurant at Lost Springs. They went back to Darlene’s house later and had a belated Christmas gift exchange.

Burdick UMW will meet at 7:30 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at Burdick UMC Fellowship Hall. Devotions will be given by Karen Carlson and lesson by Ruth Ann Carlson. Diana Jost will serve refreshments.

Dean Forsberg was a Thursday afternoon visitor of Evelyn Forsberg.

Marilyn Hageberg came home Monday from St. Luke Hospital at Marion. Visitors this week were Darlene Gutsch, Diana Jost, Lois Peterson, and Ruth Riggin.

Dan and Linda Peterson attended a high school wrestling tournament Saturday at Ellsworth to watch their grandson wrestle. He took third in the 160-pound group.

Ethan Forsberg of Tulsa, Okla., and Sammi Seifert were Saturday afternoon visitors of Evelyn Forsberg. Evening visitors were Joe Forsberg of Salina, and Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan of Council Grove.

Lois Peterson and Ruth Riggin went to dinner noon Sunday at Tampa café.

Mary Deane Peterson accompanied Marvin Peterson of Lincolnville to Lindsborg Monday to visit Evelyn Carlson and Maurine Johnston.

Please welcome new residents Ed Proschaska and Nancy of Emporia to our community. They purchased the Jim Gutsch house and reside there.

Darlene Gutsch attended a basketball tournament Saturday morning at Centre High School. She watched her grandson, Anthony Gutsch, play in two games. His team, Herington High School, won the first game against Northern Heights and lost the second against Centre. She visited with Perry and Amy Gutsch and Gayla Deines, Shelby and Justin who also were attending the games.

Dean Forsberg, Joe and Ethan and Harry Schump were Sunday afternoon visitors of Evelyn Forsberg. Harry was a supper guest.

Art and Jackie Malin of Wisconsin, Clint’s cousins, were Sunday supper and overnight guests of Clint and Diana Jost. James Jost also was a supper guest.

Clint and Diana Jost ate supper and visited Sunday evening with Kaylee Welbert at Abilene.
