Lois Peterson, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, and Mary Deane Peterson joined Gene Thorton and Mary Ann Thorton of Abilene for a Sunday noon meal at Brookville Hotel of Abilene to celebrate Marie Thorton’s birthday.

Corlberg-Smith #147 American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 2 p.m. May 5. Lois Peterson is hostess.

Burdick Council of Clubs will meet May 6 at the Legion Hall for a monthly meeting.

Mary Deane Peterson was a Monday morning visitor of Evelyn Forsberg. Harry Schump of Herington visited in the afternoon.

Steve Hageberg of Garden City was a Sunday afternoon visitor of Gary and Marilyn Hageberg.

Evelyn Forsberg visited Harry Schump Wednesday afternoon at Herington. Joe Forsberg was a Wednesday evening visitor of Evelyn.

Ruth Riggin was a Saturday visitor of Lyal and Julie Sader at their home at Salina. They were having a yard sale.

Visitors of Darlene Gutsch this week were Marilyn Hageberg Monday morning, Perry Gutsch took me to Salina Tuesday afternoon, Pastor Jay J. Beck, Jada, and Jason of Junction City were late Thursday afternoon visitors, and Perry Gutsch and Anthony came Friday evening to mow my yard.

Glen Carlson was a Thursday morning visitor of Evelyn Forsberg. Joe Forsberg was a Thursday dinner guest.

Mary Deane Peterson and Lois Peterson were Tuesday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Les Thorton at Abilene.

Dean Forsberg and Joe Forsberg were Friday morning visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Darlene Gutsch accompanied Bruce Winkler and Doris Winkler of Marion to Wichita Sunday to visit Dorothy Rindt at Family Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Jean Brunner of Ramona, Leah Brunner of Herington, and Mike and Linda Carlson were Saturday visitors of Charles and Arlene Carlson.

Elinor Remy and Leona Anderson enjoyed a fun day Thursday. They went shopping at Salina and enjoyed dinner out.

Saturday dinner guests of Evelyn Forsberg were Joe Forsberg, Dean Forsberg, Savannah Forsberg, and Kari Fogo and McKenna of Salina. Other afternoon and evening visitors were Ethan Forsberg of Beloit, Willy Hicks, Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan, and Allen and Connie Thomas of Council Grove.

Nick and Beth Weibert and Kaylee of Abilene and John and Tory Jost and Collin of St. Mary were Saturday and Sunday visitors of Clint and Diana Jost.

Emily Fullerton of Lincoln, Neb. and Sara Denley and Abbey of Winfield met Mary Deane Peterson Thursday noon at a Lost Springs restaurant for lunch. The girls went to Kansas City in the afternoon for an appointment.

Evelyn Forsberg was a Sunday dinner and afternoon visitor of Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan at Council Grove. She reported she enjoyed an afternoon of shopping at Emporia with Jane and the children.

Please keep in your thoughts and prayers those in our community who have had surgery or other illness. Shirley Miller returned home Wednesday from a Wichita hospital. Forrest Anderson is doing well after his back surgery Monday at Topeka. Gary and Karen Korte of Emporia brought him to Herington Hospital for a few days of therapy. He will be home at Burdick later this week. Elmer Otte had a stroke and is in Wesley Medical Center.

Kent and Jean Brunner, Mike and Linda Carlson, and Arlene Carlson helped Charles Carlson celebrate his birthday Sunday at a Herington restaurant.

Burdette and Maureen Peterson took Mary Deane Peterson for supper Friday evening to a café in Durham.
