There will be a flu shot clinic given by Morris County Health Department from 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 1, at Burdick Legion Hall (south side). Senior citizens should bring Medicare cards. There will be a charge for non-Medicare patients.

Naomi Nelson was a Tuesday evening supper guest of Clint and Diana Jost.

Ruth Riggin went to Salina Sunday afternoon and joined Julie Sader and Tisha Bielefeld and Seth of Solomon to see a movie.

Burdick United Methodist Church is sponsoring a hayrack ride and wiener roast at 5 p.m. Sunday. Congregate at the church to board a hayrack for an evening of fun and fellowship. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Marilyn Hageberg was a Monday morning visitor of Darlene Gutsch. Jerry Cady of Marion was an afternoon visitor.

The Peterson reunion was Oct. 12 at Burdick Legion Hall with 35 family members present. Lois Peterson and Mary Deane Peterson were among those attending.

Corlberg-Smith Post #147, American Legion Auxiliary, met at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Legion Hall. The six members present were: Rosemary Hempleman, Linnea Barlow, Bonnie Sill, Lois Peterson, Nancy Hanson, and Darlene Gutsch. President Rosemary presided. It was voted to give to the Veterans’ Hospital Gift Fund, Dollar Bill Fund, and Canteen for Christmas. Tentative plans were made for joint fund-raisers Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 of pancake feeds with the American Legion. It was decided to continue afternoon meetings. The next meeting will be 2 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Legion Hall with Rosemary Hempleman as hostess.

Ethan Forsberg of Tulsa, Okla., was a Monday dinner and afternoon guest of Evelyn Forsberg.

It was so nice to see Isla Rose Nelson of Lindsborg and Steve and Donna Hanneman of Peabody in church Sunday. They attended the Peterson reunion at noon at the Legion Hall.

Dean Forsberg was a Friday dinner guest of Evelyn Forsberg.

Whitney Gutsch of Herington was a Saturday guest of Darlene Gutsch. They attended the Main Street senior citizen pancake feed at Herington in the morning. Perry Gutsch came after work to eat supper with them and take Whitney home.

At 11 a.m. Friday morning, Mary Deane Peterson, and Jake and Nancy Hanson attended the swearing-in ceremony of Connie Johnson as postmaster of the Lost Springs Post Office. They all had lunch together at noon an Al’s Café.

Evelyn Forsberg was a Sunday guest of Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan at Council Grove.

Elinor Remy reports Lee is doing some better. He is at the Golden Living Center, Room 330, 1500 E. Lawrence, Marion, KS 66861 and would welcome cards and letters.
