Kansas Bar Association and Topeka Bar Association will conduct “call-a-lawyer” night Thursday. Callers may speak to volunteer lawyers who are donating their time to answer questions and provide legal advice and information.

Volunteers are able to provide information on many legal issues, including probate, family law, landlord-tenant issues, matters involving real property and employment.

If a caller is referred to another lawyer for further consultation, the caller should discuss fees charged prior to entering into a representation agreement.

Its lawyers do not offer pro bono — or free — legal services. Each lawyer will determine the fees charged for legal services, and any caller referred should discuss such rates prior to entering into a representation agreement.
